O&L General Contractor Inc. was founded in 2000 by Oscar Lainez he didn’t simply just start a contractor’s company with no experience. He originally started out at the very bottom as a construction worker, who slowly worked his way up to a Roofer and then as a manager in a contractor’s company. After several years of learning the trade, he opened his own company and named it after himself “Lainez Contractors”. Oscar and his team are focused more on quality and honesty than anything else. He always had a plan of quality work to be done that can provide quality works at honest and reasonable prices. 

The company is fully licensed, Insured and Bonded, we not only have a valid Contractor license on file with the City of Chicago and many surrounding suburbs, there is also a General Contractor license that the company holds over the years, the company has expanded from not just doing masonry work, we also provide services such as waterproofing, caulking, siding, windows, and even roofing.

My real estate business is based in Brooklyn, NY; my partner and I are investing in Chicago via a 3 family in the Old Town section. Around the middle of October ’18, the foundation started to leak water and our tenant’s apartment was unlivable. Contractors, it seems in Chi-town, are very hard to find. Oscar was the first one to call me back and meet me at the address. We both inspected and went over what was wrong and what had to be fixed. Oscar even caught a few (very legitimate) hidden problems, such as holes and gaps in the brick mortar and seams between the wall and ground. Cutting to the chase: everything was fixed in a very professional and timely manner. Oscar communicated with me a lot and is very patient when it comes to going over the details. I wish he was in New York.
